"Once upon a time ..."

A good fairy tale always starts with this doesn't it?

Well, once upon a time you could only get married in one of two venues - a church or a registry office.

What's different now?

  1. Now the laws have changed, you are at liberty to extend the boundaries and marry anyone, anywhere

  2. Current legislation means that you must be legally married by a registrar, which can be done on the same day as, or another day prior to, your wedding

  3. With a registrar you must complete the following acknowledgements to legalize your marriage:

Declaratory words: "I do solemnly declare that I know not of any lawful impediment why I (your name) may not be joined in matrimony to (partner's name)"

Contracting words: "I call upon these persons here present that I (your name) do take thee (partner's name) to be my lawful wedded wife/husband"

Where does the celebrant come in?

Following on from your legal marriage registration you can continue to celebrate your wedding day with a celebrant led ceremony whereby you can pronounce your love for each other to your family and friends in a unique way, that is precious to you; making your own vows and exchanging your rings in a calm and comfortable setting knowing that you are truly experiencing that fairy tale dream.

Savour the moment ... choose a celebrant led ceremony to make your fairy tale come true!

Wedding Day

"This day of days, your separate ways become one.

This ring, this vow, tell you that now a new life's begun.

Two roads converging, then, finally, merging under the sun.

Good luck holding, a future unfolding that can't be undone."
